Lesson 2
يَسْتَعْرِضُ هَذَا الدَّرْسُ قَوَاعِدَ مُتَنَوِّعَةً مِثْلَ وَاوِ الْحَالِ، وَلَعَلَّ، وَاسْمِ الْفِعْلِ (إِلَيْكُمْ)، وَاسْتِخْدَامِ الْفِعْلِ الْمَاضِي لِلدُّعَاءِ، وَ (مِنْ) الزَّائِدَةِ.
This lesson covers various rules such as the Waw of Circumstance, لَعَلَّ (perhaps), the verb-like noun إِلَيْكُمْ (take), using the past tense for supplication, and the extra مِنْ for emphasis.
وَاوُ الْحَالِ: تَدْخُلُ عَلَى جُمْلَةِ الْحَالِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي مَحَلِّ نَصْبٍ.
Introduces a circumstantial clause, which is in the accusative state.
لَعَلَّ: مِنْ أَخَوَاتِ (إِنَّ)، تُفِيدُ التَّرَجِّيَ أَوِ الْإِشْفَاقَ.
A sister of إِنَّ that expresses hope (الترجي) or apprehension (الإِشْفَاقُ).
إِلَيْكُمْ: اسْمُ فِعْلِ أَمْرٍ بِمَعْنَى (خُذُوا).
An imperative verb-like noun meaning "Take" or "Here you are".
قَدْ يَأْتِي الْفِعْلُ الْمَاضِي بِمَعْنَى الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ لِلدُّعَاءِ، وَيُنْفَى بِـ (لَا).
A verb in the past tense form can have a future meaning for supplication (e.g., شَفَاهُ اللهُ - may Allah heal him), and it is negated with لَا.
تُزَادُ (مِنْ) لِلتَّأْكِيدِ بَعْدَ نَفْيٍ أَوْ نَهْيٍ أَوْ (هَلْ) إِذَا كَانَ مَجْرُورُهَا نَكِرَةً.
Adds emphasis when it is preceded by negation, prohibition, or هل (hal), and its object is indefinite.
الْجُمُوعُ الَّتِي تَأْتِي عَلَى هَذِهِ الصِّيغَةِ تَكُونُ مَمْنُوعَةً مِنَ الصَّرْفِ.
These patterns are diptotes (prevented from tanween and kasra).
