Lesson 19
يَتَنَاوَلُ هَذَا الدَّرْسُ وَزْنَ (فَاعَلَ) وَمَعَانِيهِ، وَمَعَانِيَ (قَدْ)، وَأَحْكَامَ (لَكِنْ) الْمُخَفَّفَةِ، وَ(ذَوُو - أُولُو)، وَاللَّامَ الْمُزَحْلَقَةَ.
This lesson covers the فَاعَلَ pattern and its meanings, the meanings of قَدْ, the rules of lightened لَكِنَّ, the words ذَوُو/أُولُو, and the "slipped" Lam.
مَصْدَرُهُ عَلَى وَزْنِ (مُفَاعَلَة) أَوْ (فِعَال).
Its masdar is مُفَاعَلَةٌ (e.g., مُقَاتَلَةٌ) or فِعَالٌ (e.g., قِتَالٌ). One of its primary meanings is participation (الْمُشَارَكَةُ).
مَعَ الْفِعْلِ الْمَاضِي تُفِيدُ التَّوْكِيدَ، وَمَعَ الْمُضَارِعِ تُفِيدُ الِاحْتِمَالَ أَوِ التَّقْلِيلَ أَوِ التَّحْقِيقَ.
With a past verb, it signifies emphasis/certainty. With a present verb, it can mean possibility/doubt, scarcity, or certainty.
هِيَ لَامُ الِابْتِدَاءِ الَّتِي تُزَحْلَقُ إِلَى الْخَبَرِ أَوْ إِلَى اسْمِ (إِنَّ) الْمُؤَخَّرِ بَعْدَ دُخُولِ (إِنَّ) لِلتَّأْكِيدِ.
It is the Lam of Incipience that moves to the predicate (or a delayed subject) after إِنَّ for added emphasis.
