كَيْفَ حَالُكَ يَا أَحْمَدُ؟

How are you, Ahmad?

كَيْفَ حَالُكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ؟

How are you, Fatimah?

أَنَا بِخَيْرٍ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ.

I am fine, praise be to Allah.

سَأَلَنِي كَيْفَ حَالِي، فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا بِخَيْرٍ.

He asked me how I was, so I said: I am fine.

قَالَ الطَّالِبُ لِزَمِيلِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ.

The student said to his classmate: Peace be upon you.

وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.

And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings.

أَنْتِ طَالِبَةٌ مُجْتَهِدَةٌ.

You are a hardworking student.

مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتِ؟

Where are you from?

ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى الْمَطَارِ.

I went to the airport.

أَنَا ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى الْمَكْتَبَةِ.

I went to the library.

ذَهَبَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى الْجَامِعَةِ.

Fatimah went to the university.

أُمِّي ذَهَبَتْ إِلَى السُّوقِ.

My mother went to the market.

أَيْنَ ذَهَبْتَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ؟

Where did you go, Muhammad?

هَلْ ذَهَبْتَ إِلَى الطَّبِيبِ؟

Did you go to the doctor?

هَذِهِ عَمَّتِي.

This is my paternal aunt.

عَمَّتِي مُدَرِّسَةٌ.

My paternal aunt is a teacher.

أُحِبُّ خَالَتِي.

I love my maternal aunt.

خَالَتِي تَسْكُنُ فِي مَكَّةَ.

My maternal aunt lives in Makkah.

يَا سَيِّدِي، أَيْنَ الْمُسْتَشْفَى؟

Sir, where is the hospital?

هَذَا السَّيِّدُ مُهَنْدِسٌ.

This gentleman is an engineer.

أَهْلًا بِكِ يَا سَيِّدَتِي.

Welcome, madam.

تِلْكَ السَّيِّدَةُ طَبِيبَةٌ.

That lady is a doctor.

أُمِّي طَبِيبَةٌ.

My mother is a doctor.

أُحِبُّ أُمِّي كَثِيرًا.

I love my mother very much.

أُسْتَاذِي مُحَمَّدٌ رَجُلٌ طَيِّبٌ.

My teacher, Muhammad, is a good man.

أُسْتَاذِي يُعَلِّمُنِي اللُّغَةَ الْعَرَبِيَّةَ.

My teacher teaches me Arabic.

خَرَجَ الْمُصَلُّونَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ.

The worshipers left the masjid after the prayer.

بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى الْمَكْتَبَةِ.

After Dhuhr, I went to the library.

الْفَتَاةُ الَّتِي جَلَسَتْ أَمَامَ الْمُدَرِّسَةِ طَالِبَةٌ مِنْ مَالِيزِيَا.

The young woman who sat in front of the teacher is a student from Malaysia.

الطَّالِبَةُ الَّتِي تَحَدَّثَتْ مَعِيَ مِنْ إِنْدُونِيسِيَا.

The student who spoke with me is from Indonesia.

هَذِهِ فَتَاةٌ مُؤَدَّبَةٌ.

This is a polite young woman.

رَأَيْتُ فَتَاةً جَمِيلَةً فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ.

I saw a beautiful young woman in the garden.

الْإِمَامُ الْبُخَارِيُّ شَيْخٌ عَظِيمٌ.

Imam al-Bukhari is a great scholar.

الْتَقَيْتُ بِشَيْخٍ جَلِيلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ.

I met a venerable scholar in the masjid.

الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ.

The strong believer is better than the weak believer.

هَذَا حِصَانٌ قَوِيٌّ.

This is a strong horse.

هَذَا رَجُلٌ ضَعِيفٌ.

This is a weak man.

إِيمَانُهُ ضَعِيفٌ.

His faith is weak.

خَرَجَ الْوَزِيرُ مِنَ الْقَصْرِ.

The minister left the palace.

الْتَقَيْتُ بِالْوَزِيرِ فِي الْمَطَارِ.

I met the minister at the airport.

أَنَا فِي الْمَدْرَسَةِ الْمُتَوَسِّطَةِ.

I am in middle school.

أَخِي يَدْرُسُ فِي الْمَدْرَسَةِ الْمُتَوَسِّطَةِ.

My brother studies in middle school.

جَاءَ الْمُفَتِّشُ إِلَى الْمَدْرَسَةِ.

The inspector came to the school.

تَحَدَّثْتُ مَعَ الْمُفَتِّشِ.

I spoke with the inspector.

هَذِهِ شَجَرَةٌ كَبِيرَةٌ.

This is a big tree.

تَسَلَّقَ الْوَلَدُ الشَّجَرَةَ.

The boy climbed the tree.

سُورِيَا بَلَدٌ جَمِيلٌ.

Syria is a beautiful country.

صَدِيقِي مِنْ سُورِيَا.

My friend is from Syria.

مَالِيزِيَا دَوْلَةٌ إِسْلَامِيَّةٌ.

Malaysia is an Islamic country.

سَافَرْتُ إِلَى مَالِيزِيَا الصَّيْفَ الْمَاضِيَ.

I traveled to Malaysia last summer.

الْمَمْلَكَةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ السُّعُودِيَّةُ أَكْبَرُ دَوْلَةٍ فِي الشَّرْقِ الْأَوْسَطِ.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Middle East.

الرِّيَاضُ عَاصِمَةُ الْمَمْلَكَةِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ السُّعُودِيَّةِ.

Riyadh is the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
